CENTRAL HIGHLANDS SOCIAL ENTERPRISE PROJECT

Are you a social enterprise? Would you like to start one? Do you want to support the development of social enterprise in the Central Highlands?

Social entrepreneurs and supporters across the Central Highlands can get fresh support and skills thanks to a CQUniversity partnership with local social enterprise Central Highlands Community Services (CHCS) and Emerald Neighbourhood Centre.

Social enterprises are businesses that trade with the goal of addressing social issues, providing access to employment and training for marginalised groups or growing environmental sustainability.

The project will include events and workshops at CQUniversity's Emerald Campus, with the launch and first workshop on Wednesday, November 25.

It is open to anyone passionate about building community resilience for the Central Highlands. Participation is free and includes access to the Social Enterprise Toolkit online portal; workshops to explore, design and grow social enterprise ideas; networking opportunities with community and industry; and pitch and showcase event to share your social enterprise prototype.

The project launch and workshop will be held at CQUniversity Emerald Campus Room 1.20 on Wednesday, November 25. The launch will take place from 10am-11am and the workshop from midday to 3pm.

You can register for either or both sessions at https://events.humanitix.com/sews-launch.
