Infrastructure Funding for Central West Communities

Member for Gregory Lachlan Millar is pleased to announce the Central West region will benefit from $1.44 million in funding under the Building Our Regions program for three infrastructure projects that will create jobs and deliver a timely boost to the local economy.

“These projects, which will be delivered in Blackall, Ilfracombe and Jundah in partnership with local councils, will provide some relief for communities in the Central West who are suffering the effects of years of ongoing drought conditions,” Mr Millar said.

“I have made continuous representations to the Palaszczuk Government, fighting for infrastructure funding for the Gregory Electorate that will not only improve the liveability of our communities, but also deliver economic benefits to the whole Central West region.

“The employment opportunities provided by these projects will help stabilise the local job market and give more certainty to local residents and their families,” he said.
