Gregory Schools Miss Out In State Budget

Member for Gregory, Lachlan Millar, is disappointed that primary and secondary schools throughout Gregory have been totally forgotten in the 2018 State Budget, with a grant total of $0 going to our local schools.

Mr Millar said that, while there has been big spending in Brisbane, this budget is a failure for Regional Queensland.

Gregory Roads Forgotten On State Budget

Member for Gregory, Lachlan Millar, has lambasted the State Government's 2018 Budget as a failure for Central and Western Queenslanders.

Mr Millar said that the State Budget, handed down at 2:30pm on Tuesday, was big on promises for Brisbane, but lacked anything for Queenslanders outside of the South-East.

Barcaldine Residents Need Not Fear Ergon Mistake

Member for Gregory Lachlan Millar, is reassuring graziers in the Barcaldine Regional Council area, after a mistaken email was sent from Ergon Energy.

Emails were sent from Ergon Energy to local landholders on Monday, informing them that “We’ve received confirmation from the Queensland Government Department of Agriculture and Fisheries that the drought declaration for your property or area was revoked on 17 May 2018.” and “that from this date you are no longer eligible for the Queensland Government’s Drought Relief from Electricity Charges scheme.”

It’s time to BEEF UP the BEEF ROAD

State and Federal MPs have joined forces to investigate and identify safety trouble spots along the notorious Fitzroy Developmental Road between Dingo and Nebo.

Federal Members for Capricornia and Flynn, Michelle Landry and Ken O’Dowd, and State Member for Gregory, Lachlan Millar, have toured the ‘Beef Road’, stopping to inspect sites of recent serious and near-fatal accidents.
